Banana Chocolate cake (with wheat flour)

Wheat flour  - 4 cups
Cocoa powder – ¾th cup
Over ripe banana – 6
Apples – 2 (optional)
Eggs – 3
Jaggery 200gm or Sugar – 2 cups
Oil – 1 cup
Curd – 1 cup
Mixed nuts – 1 cup (optional)
Dates – 6-7 (optional)
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1 tsp
Baking powder – ½ tsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
Milk – 1-2 tbsp (optional)

Cut the apples and bananas and beat in mixie to make a coarse paste.

In a separate bowl add sugar, eggs, oil and curd and mix well. Add the banana paste into it and mix well till sugar is dissolved.

In a large bowl, sift together wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the nuts, dates and mix well. Now add the wet ingredients into it and blend it well.

If the batter is too thick, add 1-2 tbsp of milk. Check sweetness. Add sugar if needed.

Bake for around 45 minutes on 180 degrees.


Note: This cake can be made with either apple or banana or both.
