Ragi dhokla
Ragi Dhokla
Ragi flour – 1 cup
Oats powdered – ½ cup
Urad dal powdered – ½ cup
Besan – ½ cup (optional)
Curd – 2 tbsp
Mix all the above ingredients. Add water to make a smooth batter.
Keep aside for fermenting (for 6-8 hours). Or add eno/baking soda for instant
dhokla
After fermenting, add salt, Add ginger-green chilli paste,
red chilli powder, jeera powder, 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
If making instant dhokla, add eno or baking soda and steam
for 15 minutes.
Temper with rai, jeera, white till, green chillies, curry
leaves and sugar (add some water in the termpering) and pour it on the dhokla. Cut
and serve with ketchup or green chutney.
It can also be made with Ragi flour + rava in equal quantities and curd.
