Pulli curry with Arbi or Banana
Arbi (chembu) or Raw Banana (Nendrakaya) – 1 kg
1 cup Tamarind pulp
Red chilli pdr - 1 tsp
Ground coconut - 1 cup (optional)
Salt, as per taste
Haldi powder- 1/2 tsp
For seasoning
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
1 tsp - rai
1 tsp - methi
3 red chillies
2 sprigs curry leaves
Cook the vegetable with enough water (to cover the veg), haldi, salt and red chilli pdr. When the veg is cooked, add tamarind pulp and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add ground coconut and some water to adjust consistency. Let it simmer. Season with rai, methi, red chilli & curry leaves, in coconut oil. Serve with steamed rice.
