Kerala Mutton Fry
1 kg mutton
1 raw banana or ¼ kg suran (optional)
2 large onions, sliced lengthwise
3-4 small red onions, chopped
Lightly roast and grind in mixie (without adding water)
1/2 cup grated coconut (optional)
2 sprigs curry leaves (optional)
1½ tsp chilli powder
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp corriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp haldi
½ tsp saunf
Salt, Coconut oil

2 tbsp Coconut pcs (optional)
Ginger-garlic, crushed
2 tomatoes (optional)
Corriander leaves
Wash mutton, drain water completely and cook in pressure cooker, with salt, haldi & 1 tsp oil, for 3-4 whistles.
Heat oil, add coconut pcs, ginger-garlic paste & large onions, curry leaves and fry till brown. Add tomatoes and cook till done. Add the mutton and banana and cook for 15-20 minutes. Add ground masala powder and cook for some more time till water is absorbed fully.
Season with small onions in coconut oil. Garnish with corriander leaves.
