Mango Rice
2-3 cups cooked rice (1/4 kg)
1 Raw mango
Oil
3 tsp.
Mustard seeds 2 tsp.
Curry leaves 8-10 nos.
Channa dal 2 tsp.
Urad dal 2 tsp.
Red chilli 3-4 nos.
Chopped ginger 1 1/4 tsp.
Chopped green chilli 1 tsp.
Cashew nuts (5-6)
Peanuts 2 tsp.
Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
Rice 2 cups
Salt To taste
Chopped coriander leaves 1 tsp.
Peel skin of mango and grate it and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, also add a few curry leaves.
- Now add chana dal, urad dal and red chillies. Stir till dal is light brown.
- Add chopped ginger and green chillies.
- Add peanuts, cashew nuts, turmeric powder, salt and saute. Now add the grated
mango and let it cook. Now add the cooked rice. Mix all the ingredients
properly.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
- Mango rice is ready to serve.
