Rava mutter appam



For the Batter

Rava - 2 cups

Curd - 1 cup

Baking soda - 1 tsp

Water - 2-3 cups

1 tsp amchur powder

1 tbsp kasuri methi,

1 tsbp red chilli flakes.

For the filling

Mutter - 2 cup

Potato - 3 (optional)

Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Onion -1 

1 tsp jeera powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

Salt

Oil

In a bowl, add the rava and curd. Add water , mix well and keep aside for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, add, salt, amchur powder, kasuri methi, red chilli flakes and baking powder and mix well.

Heat oil in kadai, add ginger-garlic paste and saute. Add the onions and saute. Add mutter and cook. Add jeera powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt and corriander leaves.. once cooked, let it cool. Slightly crush it in mixie.Then make small balls of it and keep aside.

Heat the appam mould, brush some oil. Add one tbsp of batter and dip one mutter ball into it. Pour another tsp of batter over the mutter ball so that it is covered. Put lid over the appam mould and let it cook. Turn and cook on the other side too. Serve with ketchup.
