Mambazhayam Pachhadi (Ripe mango Pachhadi)



Mambazhayam Pachhadi

3 ripe mangoes
1 cup grated coconut
5-6 green chillies
1/4" ginger
2 tsp mustard seeds
2 sprig curry leaves
2-3 small red onions
1 cup curd
Salt
1 tbsp Coconut oil
2-3 red chillies
1/2 tsp methi


De-skin the mangoes and chop into small pieces. Make paste of coconut, 1 tsp mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger, red onions and half cup curd. 

In a kadai, heat coconut oil, add methi seeds, when it splutters, add mustard. Once it splutters add red chillies and curry leaves and saute. Now add the chopped mangoes and saute for 1-2 minutes. Now add the ground coconut paste. Add salt and some water. Add balance curd and saute. Cook on slow fire till it starts simmering. Take off the flame. Mango pachhadi is ready. Serve it as a side-dish with rice.
