Tomato-Onion Chutney (For Idli/dosa)
Tomato - 3
Onion - 2
Ginger - 1/4"
Cashew nuts - 1 tbsp
Roasted chana dal - 1 tbsp
Tamarind - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Salt
curry leaves - 1 sprig
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Oil
Heat oil in kadai, saute the chopped onions , tomatoes, ginger , cashew nut and chana dalal, and tamarind till it gets slightly cooked. Add all other ingredients and saute. Let it cool. Add some water and make paste. Tomato chutney is ready. If needed, season with mustard and curry leaves. Serve with Idli / dosas
