 Chettinad Pepper Chicken (gravy)

1 kg chicken
5 onions, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, finely chopped
2 tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp freshly ground coarse pepper
1 tsp red chilli pdr
3 tbps coriander powder
2 tsp lime juice
Ginger-garlic paste
Slit green chillies – 3 nos.
1 tsp garam masala pdr
Turmeric pdr
Salt
2 tbsp fresh coconut pieces
3-4 sprigs of curry leaves
Oil

Marinate chicken with 1 tsp lime juice, red chilli powder, 1 tsp pepper pdr, salt and turmeric pdr.

Heat oil in kadai. Add curry leaves , coconut pieces and onions and saute.  Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and saute. Add coriander pdr, 1 tsp pepper pdr, turmeric pdr, salt and saute. Add tomatoes and let it cook.  Mash the tomatoes well. Now add marinated chicken and let it cook. Now sprinkle freshly ground pepper pdr and garam masala powder. Add lime juice and mix well. Cook on sim for 2 minutes.



Garnish with coriander leaves.
