Beetroot Chilla
Beetroot - 2
Oats – 1 cup
Besan – 1½ cup
Curd – ½ cup
Onions – 2, finely chopped
Green chillies – 3, finely chopped
Corriander leaves, 1 cup
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Hing powder – ½ tsp
Salt
Ghee/oil
Cut beetroot into large pieces, boil with some water, cool and make puree in mixer.
Roast the oats and powder it in mixie.
Chop onions, green chillies and coriander leaves.
In a bowl, transfer the besan, oats, beetroot, salt, ajwain, hing powder, curd and coriander leaves. Add water and make a batter (with dosa like consistency).
Heat tava, brush some ghee or oil. Spread one ladle of the
chilla batter. Sprinkle chopped onions and green chilly over it. Close lid and
let it cook on one side. Open lid, flip the dosa and cook on other side too
till done. Beetroot chilla is ready. Serve hot with any sauce of your choice.
