Prawns in green masala
Clean and wash prawns. Drain water completely. Marinate with salt, turmeric and lime juice.
Prawns - 500 gm
Onion - 1 large, chopped
Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped or pureed
Lime juice - 1 tbsp
Corriander leaves - 1 bunch
Pudina - 3-4 strands
Green chillies - 5-6
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger - 1"
Garlic - 1 large pod
Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
Dhania powder - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Make paste of coconut, coriander leaves, pudina, green chillies, ginger and garlic.
Heat oil in kadai. Fry the chopped onions till brown. Add the dry masalas and saute. Add the green masala and saute till cooked. Add tomatoes and salt and let it cook. Now add the marinated prawns and saute for some time. Add 1-2 cups of water. Cook on slow fire for 5-10 minutes. Prawn curry is ready. Serve with Roti, Neer Dosa or Rice.
